Structural Design

Value/Smart Engineering

Value engineering is a critical part of any project to ensure that it is efficient and safe to construct while maintaining the project intent.

Structural Condition Assessments

Like any other asset, structures should be inspected and regularly maintained to preserve their working life. If issues are identified early and addressed a simple low cost rectification could prevent a significant safety issue.

AS1657 Access Assessments

Non-compliant access such as platforms, walkways, stairs and ladders can result in serious workplace injuries. At SCE we specialise in not only designing structures to comply with AS1657 but also assessing existing assets.

Construction Assistance

SCE is able to provide construction assistance in the form of routine structural inspections and inspection reporting at agreed staging points.

The management and coordination of the design phase is a critical part of any project and can have a significant impact on the projects success.

Owners Engineering

The engagement of an owners engineer can result in a more successful project for the end client while minimising any ongoing problems that may have otherwise resulted.

Feasibility Studies

In the initial stages of any project it is critical to undertake a feasibility study to determine its viability and if there is sufficient funding available. Often this step is done poorly or is not done at all, resulting in significant heartache in later stages of the project.

In addition to the design management service offered by SCE, we also work with clients to provide project management services from project inception all the way through to design, tender, construction and defects liability periods.
